Announcement on the Voluntary Children’s Chemical Evaluation Program (VCCEP)
Ad Hoc Panel Nominations for p-Dioxane

TERA anticipates scheduling a VCCEP Peer Consultation Meeting on p-dioxane (CAS No. 123-91-1) in the first half of 2007.  Nominations are now being accepted for ad hoc panel members for this peer consultation.  Nominees should have expertise in the relevant routes of dioxane’s human exposure (oral, inhalation, or dermal), in its primary targets of toxicity (renal, hepatic, nasal tissues), in carcinogenicity, in physiologically based pharmacokinetic modeling, or in risk assessment.

When nominating candidates, please follow TERA’s panel nominations policy posted on our web site at http://www.tera.org/peer/VCCEP/VCCEPNomSelectPolicy.html.  Please confirm that the nominee is willing to serve on the VCCEP panel, and include a brief statement in your nomination letter explaining how the nominee would benefit the overall peer consultation panel.

The nomination period for ad hoc panel members for p-dioxane will close on Friday, March 2, 2007

If you have questions about this announcement or about the nominations procedure, please contact Dr. Dan Briggs as indicated below.
