TERA is currently conducting an external peer review on the carcinogenic section of the arsenic compounds effects screening level (ESL) development support document (DSD) prepared by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), State of Texas.
A panel of expert scientists conducted an external peer review of the arsenic compounds effects screening level (ESL) development support document (DSD) prepared by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), State of Texas. This review specifically focused on the chronic and acute noncarcinogenic ESL Development Support Document (DSD). A review of the cancer assessment will be done sometime in late 2009/early 2010.
The panel conducted a written review in response to charge questions prepared by TERA and will submit their comments. A follow up conference call was held on August 25, 2009, to discuss the comments submitted by the expert panel, as well as, any technical comments submitted from the public. The conference call was open to the public as “listen-only.”
