A panel of scientists with expertise in
toxicity testing, risk assessment, exposure assessment, and childrenís
health met on
April 2-3, 2003
to conduct a peer consultation of a submission on decabromodiphenyl ether.
The American Chemistry Councilís Ketones Panel prepared the
submission for the Voluntary Children's Chemical Evaluation Program
(VCCEP). The purpose of the
peer consultation meeting was to provide a science-based forum to
determine whether the existing data are adequate to characterize the risks
of acetone to children, and, if not, to identify data needs.
