Oxide & N-Nitrosodimethylamine ITER Peer Review
When: August 12, 1999
Where: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
An independent panel of expert scientists and risk assessors met in
Ottawa
to review a hazard characterization and dose-response assessment on
ethylene oxide and N-Nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA). Health
Canada
developed both assessments as part of the Priority Substances Program
under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act. This meeting was
conducted by Toxicology Excellence for Risk Assessment (TERA), a
non-profit organization dedicated to the best use of toxicity data in risk
assessment. Expert peer reviewers donated their time and talents to
provide an independent review of the assessments. The objective is a
comprehensive overall review of the materials as provided by the combined
experience of all the reviewers.
